Residence permits in Kraków: the voivodeship office and what to expect
If you live in Kraków, your residence case is handled by the Małopolska Voivode, through the Foreigners Department (Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców) of the Małopolski Urząd Wojewódzki at ul. Przy Rondzie 6, 31-547 Kraków. You submit the application online in MOS and come to the office in person for fingerprints and to collect your card.
The office
- Małopolski Urząd Wojewódzki, Wydział Spraw Cudzoziemców, ul. Przy Rondzie 6, 31-547 Kraków (also the correspondence address).
- A branch operates in Nowy Sącz: ul. Jagiellońska 52, 1st floor, room 113.
- The voivode competent for the place where you live decides your case. The Head of the Office for Foreigners (UdSC) decides appeals.
How a case works
You file the application in the MOS portal and sign it yourself. After that the voivode summons you to the office: you show your travel document, give fingerprints and a specimen signature, and later you collect the card in person. In most cases that is at most two visits. Read the step-by-step guides for each permit type.

Fees and how to pay
Stamp duty and the 100 zł card fee are paid to separate accounts, not in MOS. The account numbers are on the website of the voivodeship office for your case, so take them from the office’s own site and double-check them before you transfer money.
Opening hours and appointments
We do not list opening hours or phone numbers here because office hours and booking rules change, and older pages online disagree. Use the official website of the Małopolski Urząd Wojewódzki for the current ones.
